Answer the following questions.


  1. How does the astrologer's appearance help him attract customers? How does he help the customers satisfy their needs?

    2. - The astrologer does a lot of things to make his customers / common people believe on him. He has covered his forehead with sacred ash and vermillion. His eyes sparkle with a sharp abnormal gleam which is an outcome of a continual searching loop for customers, which his clients take to be a prophetic light and feel comfort. The power of his eyes is considerably enhanced by their position - place as they are between painted forehead and the dark whiskers which stream down his cheeks. Even a half - wit's eyes sparkle in such a setting. To crown the effect, he wound a saffron coloured turban around his head. This color scheme never failed people are attracted to him as bees are attracted to cosmos or dahlia stalks.



  2. How do you characterize the astrologer's attitude towards the stranger?

    3. - The astrologer has a working analysis of mankind's troubles: marriage, money and the tangles of humanties. Long practice has sharpened his perception. Within 5 minutes he understands what is wrong. He charges three pies per question and never opens his mouth till the other has spoken for atleast 10 minutes, which provides him enough stuff for a dozen answers and advices. When he tells the person before him gazing at his palm. In short, he has been familiar with the attitude of common people and he predicts very smartly.



  3. What details does the astrologer give the stranger about his past?

    4. - The astrologer mentions that the stranger had been left for dead that means someone killed him and pushed him into a well near by in the field. He also said that the murderer died 4 months ago in a far off town and the stranger would never see anymore of him.



  4. Why does he advice the stranger to go home immediately?

    5. - He advices the stranger to go home immediately to save his own life. The astrologer knows it that he has tried to kill the stranger very long before and he has still a kind of fear that he may be attacked or harmed by him. Therefore, he wanted to assure the stranger that the murderer had been died and adviced him to not to travel to south ward again and he would live a 100 years if he followed the stranger's advice.



  5. What is your reaction to the conversation between the astrologer and his wife?

    6. - I was really surprised to know that the astrologer had a very disruptive past story. He confessed that in his past, he used to drink, gamble and querel badly and even tried to kill that stranger. With the help of conversation with his wife I have found it truly astonishing.
